Steps

  1. Sit with the integration of opposites as your frame: darkness and light are not enemies but partners in wholeness.
  2. Light the black and white candles simultaneously — they are equal and necessary.
  3. Write or draw your shadow traits — what you judge in yourself and others. These are your shadow's contents.
  4. Beside each, write the hidden gift: controlling = strong boundaries; aggressive = fierce protector; needy = deeply feeling.
  5. Hold obsidian in your left hand (shadow) and rose quartz in your right (light). Bring your hands together slowly in front of your heart.
  6. Say: 'I am whole. Light and shadow are both me. I claim every part of myself with compassion. I am integrated, authentic, and free.'
