Each hour of the day is governed by a planet. For the most precise magical timing, combine the right day with the right planetary hour. The current hour is highlighted.
How Planetary Hours Work
Planetary hours divide the time between sunrise and sunset into 12 equal "day hours," and sunset to sunrise into 12 equal "night hours." These hours are NOT 60 minutes each — they expand and contract with the seasons. In summer, day hours are longer; in winter, shorter.
The first hour after sunrise is always ruled by the day's planet (Sun on Sunday, Moon on Monday, etc.). The remaining hours follow the Chaldean order: Saturn → Jupiter → Mars → Sun → Venus → Mercury → Moon, repeating.
Pro tip: For the most powerful spellwork, cast during a planetary hour that matches both the day AND your intention. For example: a love spell on Friday (Venus day) during a Venus hour is triple-powered.
