Steps

  1. Brew strong tea from hyssop and rue, the two premier uncrossing herbs.
  2. Draw a warm bath and add the strained herbal tea, salt, Florida water, and squeeze of lemon.
  3. Light the white candle at the edge of the tub.
  4. Before entering, recite Psalm 51 (traditionally used for spiritual cleansing) or your own prayer for purification.
  5. Pour the bath water over yourself from head to feet nine times while praying for all crossed conditions to be washed away.
  6. After bathing, air dry rather than toweling off to keep the herbal residue on your skin. Dispose of any remaining water away from your home.
